What does a customs broker do?

A customs broker prepares customs declarations on behalf of companies for import and export transactions, carries out procedures with the customs administration and follows the process in compliance with the regulations.

Which documents are required for import transactions?

In general, a commercial invoice, packing list, transport document (bill of lading, CMR or AWB) and an authorization letter are required. Depending on the type of goods, permits, conformity or inspection certificates may also be requested. Once you send us your goods details, we will give you a clear list of the required documents.

Which documents are required for export transactions?

A commercial invoice, packing list, transport document and authorization letter are the basic documents. Depending on the destination country and bilateral agreements, documents certified by the Chamber of Commerce / Industry or a consulate may be required; we guide you through this process.

What is an HS code and why is it important?

The HS code (Harmonized System code, GTİP in Turkey) is the code that shows the tariff classification of goods. Because it determines tax rates, permit obligations and the applicable regulations, determining it correctly is very important.
